I'm terrible at stuff like this because i don't tend to keep up on status updates and posts. and that's in addition to allowing distruptions more than i should.
any rate, current stuff is that i am working on a project with supermike, with him on code and me on design, with overlap. no project name at this point, but weekly meetings to keep things moving to some degree.
otherwise? my main projects right now are writing and streaming. i stream video games over on rumble under Kyanos, though I'm willing to talk about the projects etc over there.
the current stories are...
shadow of paradise -
Solus finds himself in Paldea (Pokemon SV) and decides to enjoy it as best he can. but it's not quite the game he remembers but a real world... until at least he finds out he was summoned by one of the legendaries to fix a... "small" problem.
reluctant archon - this one is based on a indie game i liked the story to and decided to recreate because the author may well be dead... keeping the general themes and putting my own spin on it, haven't decided on a new name though... will give credit to the OG in it.
Singulares -
Set wakes up in an ark ship derelict in space. not his biggest problem however, as his very existence is considered the worst threat to... well everything really. the question he has to answer is... will survival require him to become the monster they fear? or can he find another way? and which at the end of the day does he want?
(bibliophile) - not named yet, but set in the same universe as singulares.
main character is a shitty enchanter and a tinker working on the back side of the law. until one day he comes across an oddity - a book. in this day and age? the book however is more than he could have expected and painted a massive target on his back... but it could also propel him into a far better life. but power is temptation... especially this one.
there's a few more that I'm writing wherever i hit an inspiration point, but nothing as concrete as the ones above.
I do have a discord server set up, before the locals in fact. Towards that end im looking to have a binary community and will try to maintain both to some degree or another... but considering the nature of discord (and other social media platforms) i figured better to have one as an anchor... that being locals. join link is below, made it permanent.
main point to having the discord is being able to organize information and conversations, as well as allow space for lewds seeing as some of the specific games im working on contain such. to be careful, i'll only put more in depth updates on such games on the discord (so far as it is available to me) and maybe a much lighter reference here.
all links to any such content will also be purely done through discord or other means to avoid running afoul of the one compromise locals asks of its communities.
thanks for understanding and helping with this, and enjoy your stay in these communities!
Alright, nothing image-wise to show for the moment, not sure if i'll be coding tonight or not. i did do some work on Magius however. In case i hadnt mentioned it, Magius is a tabletop project... something along the lines of Warframe, but might and magic oriented rather than science aesthetics.
Right now i'm working on core systems in the tabletop and if things get a decent polish i can upgrade the systems to be a full game. woo. Currently I'm putting the player character on the backburner, so stats and skills predominantly. Working on the Armor and the Spirits.
The armor in this summary includes basic combat mechanics and the like. Spirits is mostly about the spells and abilities. For the armor the idea is you pick an armor that gives you a core focus point. You then customize and upgrade the armor to specialize it in whatever direction you want. Spirits? More or less the sky is the limit. You are under a system with some basic rules to allocate runes, each of which gives you a small stat bonus. Once ...
alright I'm terrible about posting updates but i am working.
updates since last time is posting up the chapters for shadows of Paradise on scribble hub, started work on a couple of games proper and started codifying more stories.
not much done on singulares because as i said i keep purging portions of it sadly.
bibliophile still doesn't have a name and likely won't for a bit, haven't done a ton with it outside setting work.
most of the effort in the last week or two has been towards the monster trainer game with supermike and a game based on brave frontier.
in both I'm mostly working on UI stuff at the moment, templates to build from rather than trying to get everything perfect from go. it's also letting me learn the code syntax without getting overly complicated.
i don't have the stuff from monster trainer to show but i do have the last thing i worked on for the frontier project.
these are all the same screen and it doesn't look like much cause it's not at the moment. this is the template ...
